Plan for the worst, hope for the best.

Just got a parcel from an eBay seller, American_Legend, a new 20T trans sprocket. Plastic wrap on it says "Dixie Distributing Company".

BTW: Just read DR DICK's thread, trans access door alignment, http://xlforum.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1392866 , and if I'm not mistaken, DR DICK is saying that the dowel pins are what regulate trapdoor alignment. And consequently the shaft placements. The four bolt holes location is more or less arbitrary (within limits).

So, to answer my own question in post #1 of this thread, it would be a good bet that the dowel pins and shafts location for the trapdoors would be interchangeable between similar years. Only the bolt holes might need enlarging.
