Default Speedometer sizes

Has Harley ever changed the size of the speedometer for the sportster?

I have a 03 custom and want to move the speedo.

Can I just buy the mount off any year that positions the gauge where I want it? Like say a 2010

If you have an '03, why does it say in your details that you have an '02?

Is that right? My mate's got an '03 Custom; I thought the speedo looked the same size as the ones on the rubbermounts (4").

Hmmm, the '04 speedos are a different part number (with an '04' suffix), but they are full data bus bikes after all, so I'd expect that they would be different.

However, the 'bracket' (and housing) is the same part number. Eg the '03 Standard, Hugger, and 883R, and the '04 883, all use the bracket # 67053-95.

Therefore the speedos on '03 and earlier bikes must be the same size as the '04 and later bikes: 4".

I was on eBay last night looking at tachs and noticed that some of the BT's had white or silver face gauges, some were in the 4" size.

I also noticed the BT tachs red line lower than the sportster ones. I'd love to go silver or white face on my bike. At $340 the combo gauge is just too expensive to add a tach.

I changed the speedo on my '05 to a silver face one, and added the silver face tach:
