Full hand wash every couple of weeks. Simple wipe down after ever ride. When I change tires (once or twice a year depending on the bike) I remove all the skins (on my Buells) and at least the seat on all bikes and scrub every nook and cranny I can get to. I also take off the wheel weights and remove the sticky stuff.

In fact I just spent several hours on my Firebolt yesterday, removing the wheels (new tires, front racing rotor (new brakes front and back) and all the wheel bearings).

Still have to scrub the rest of the bike, but the skins and wheels look brand new.

When I clean my bike I use waterless cleaners. I get ones made for bikes that clean dirt and oil not just make it shine nice

I wash it with McGuires car soap and water, then gently rinse it off with a fine spray from the garden hose, and then dry it with fresh clean cotton terry towe. Once in a while I apply a coat of this stuff, let it dry over night and then polish it off with fresh clean cotton terry towel.

Cleanliness is next to Godliness, If it's Clean it's Mean, and it's a good way to catch something before it falls off or breaks.

- Decontamination with IronX
- Quick wash again
- Then Collinite 845 Wax and followed with Carpro Reload the next day

Annually its a full 2 step paint correction and ceramic coating with CQuartzUK 3.0

I do all the major cleaning in the winter, then when it is time to ride I spray La's Totally Awesome on engine. Soap and mitt , soft brushes ,rinse , blow dry. Wipe down with detailer for quick clean.
