I'm not the adrenaline junky I was in my younger days but I'll occasionally run it up to redline just for the fun of it. I do use the clutch all the time though even when speed shifting.

I hit the chip in every gear except 5th sometimes and I am set at 6800 rpm. No biggie.

With my left hand sometimes. So voted other.

Also instinctively, regular like. So that covers other also.

Edit: Ooops. Safety Tips? Never mind.

Quoting the post might be better than a (not all that clear) scan of a print out:

I voted other because I usually shift by sound unless I'm really on the throttle showing my riding buddies how slow there BT's are

Just saying the charts and specs are all looking at the evo's and the 5 speed trans.
Those of us that cant hear well anymore and certainly some lacking logical thinking, most have slightly different than ordinary sportsters, usually have odd-ball gearing and shift at totally different speeds and RPM.

SO, " What ever makes your watercraft buoyant " as the science department would say.

Those charts are not just 5 speed only, or Evo only; they're rubbermount only. That's what I have, and that's what I know about. I simply don't have the info to do charts for older bikes.

I haven't forgotten about 4 speeds, I just don't know anything about them.

The charts are easy to do; it's simple arithmetic. Perhaps someone who does know about Ironheads or rigid mount Evos could do those charts?
