Not a Sporty, but a nice overview of a fun bike to ride-

That's a perfect retro look and modern comfort on that the way you have it set up. And putting your stuff on your own bike is a good way to promote it. Next time I get home I'm going to have to look at the bikes and see if there's a way to use your filter relocation to mount it towards the back of the bike like Indian Larry did on his Grease Monkey bike.

Thanks!

Yeah, you can mount it pretty much wherever there is a round tube.

I was out your way Memorial weekend, figured you were still closed so didn't swing by, maybe in September when I go back up to Memphis. Got in some good riding though, except for when I got stuck Monday afternoon on 309 from Warsaw to Watson behind some old ZZ Top reject on a Red Harley that was going very slow.

Yep, you were definitely in our neck of the woods...we live between Warsay and Watson. I got a red bike, but don't remember anyone being stuck behind me.

DK has not closed at all since the Covid...but about half the crew is working from home. However, no one is allowed in the shop...not UPS, nobody. Got no idea how long that is going to go on for.

Default Sunny Day Turns Dangerous

This afternoon Dwayne and I headed out to shoot some video...

It was sunny and 90*, great riding!

We found a shady spot under a big tree and shot two different videos (both will be out within a week or so).

As we left it was sprinkling-

Soon after we split up-he headed home and I headed to the shop- the bottom dropped out. Temps dropped 15 degrees, wind was blowing, rain was coming down so hard we could barely see, and worst...there was lightning all around!

No photos...it was all I could do to get the 15 miles to the shop.

After an hour it let up to just a steady rain, I headed on home.

You can see the ceramic coating is beading up well. This has not ever been waxed, and it has not been washed in months.

My jeans are not dark blue...they are completely soaked!

I don't mind the rain when it is warm, although I prefer it is not so heavy that I can't see well. What I don't like is lightning and wind so strong that it can break the branches out of the trees I'm riding under!

But we both made it home safe!

Definitely wasn't you, now that I think about it, it was probably one of those Honda Shadow Harley wannabes. Be ware, that guy was dangerous and was probably drunk, definitely could not/should not ride a motorcycle. He ran the 4 way stop and then went into the Gas Station.

Down South in the summer you just have to know you have a good chance getting dumped on at a moments notice.

Yep, there are some crazy folks on the roads down this way...fortunately, not nearly as many as in a big city.

Glad you were able to steer clear of him!

Yeah, we get lots of storms that pop up...that one the other day was a doozy...far stronger than most.
