Well - Since you did say 'anyone' (not just sportsterdoc) I'll chime in here...

If you put a 1/2" spacer under the float side of the carb mouth you will get the approximate 15°-20° angle that is needed...

Thanks for that great tip! that's exactly what I was looking for. I think my float is ok. I'm getting some gas droplets hanging from the back of the carb after the bike is sitting and cooled off for awhile.. no leak when in operation. There is nothing coming out of the overflow hose. I replaced the accelerator diaphragm because it was leaking. In case I didnt position the new diaphragm correctly I took it apart and put it back together again tonight. we will see

The float setting is to be made with the carb off the bike... See the picture below from this section of the Sportsterpedia:

The 1/2" spacer would be put under the float-side of the carb exit venturi... Right where the picture shows the 15°-20° angle...

Turns out when I changed the accelerator diaphragm I didn't also change the little O ring in the cover. It was that little O ring that was bad allowing a small amount of gas to leak after the bike was sitting. All fixed now. Thanks again everyone- this is a great forum!
