I was on another ride. The afternoon temps reached into the low 80's. The sky cleared up after overnight showers.
It was a good day to pump the adrenaline with some curve carving excitement.
Scenes like this old farm house is sad. That's not a burn pattern on the side, but ivy growing there. That's not the sad part. The house is unused. That is sad.
When I see it standing there after so many years, I just wonder about the events and situations that the old place would have witnessed during it's lifetime. In this case, it would have witnessed my family visiting the old couple that lived here. They were sweet and kind. While my parents visited with them, we kids would roam the interesting fields looking for adventures. The old farm pond on their property was inviting of exploration but we knew better than to get into the water.
Still, even those places I did not visit as a kid, bring up questions and thoughts about how we have become a throw away society. We tear down the old things and rebuild new, with less sturdy construction so it's easier to tear down the next time. That goes for our society as well. ... Sigh! ...
The rest of my ride story is in My Motorcycle Chronicles.

Thank you Ken, I’ve now caught up on August, enjoyed it immensely!
My new nose one module arrived,(Daytona Twin Tec), got it installed with lots of getting up and down off the floor. Dynamic timing perfect, wires connected turned on ignition and red LED lit, a good start. But unable to rotate the module far enough to make the LED go out, which sets the static timing. Called Dayton Twin Tec, oops it’s 4:40 and they closed at 4:30, the curse continues. Sent an e-mail.

I was riding again - This time with my brother & cousin. I planned a route that would take us from Harrisburg east toward Reading. Our goal was the Texter Mountain area and then heading north to Tower City. From there, we rode Gold Mine Road to meet up with Rt443 to get back to Harrisburg.

Once again Ken thank you for sharing. Looks like I’ve now lost the last two summers, sigh. Module returned to “Daytona” should have gotten it today, but....they’re closed Fridays and I think Monday is the holiday.
Working on the Honda’s wiring to get lighting. Runs great, new battery, rebuilt forks, new brake and clutch lines all with new fluid and new tires. Something has to go right for me?

I was out for my first ride in September. It was predicted to be a fine weather
day with the temps in the mid to upper 70's or low 80's. The forecast turned
out to be right on.
I was riding with my brother to enjoy some curves. But, I had planned a
surprise stop in Shippensburg for something we both like.
On our way over the mountain to reach Shippensburg it was a little chilly before noon.
So, we stopped at the crossing of the Appalachian Trail, just to get some sunny warmth.
The Trail is just across the road above my brother's front tire.
Read the rest of the details, including the surprise stop, at My Motorcycle Chronicles.

Enjoyed that as well, Ken, thank you.
With a little bit of luck I hope to participate in this next W.Virginia meet up. It’s been a while since I’ve ridden out of State with other forum members. The Allegheny trip being the only exception in the last 16 months!

It was a beautiful September day. Perfect for a long ride.

I was riding with my brother. We were heading into Maryland.
I planned to stop at a new place and a place I had been before.
You can read about our adventure at My Motorcycle Chronicles.
