I know what the claim sounds like but I have no reason to tell stories. I kicked and started it and it ran and idled.

I have the mag apart now and am cleaning it up. Gonna order points, condenser, the grease seal and the snap rings from Morris Mags. I have the bottom bearing on the way (thanks Iron Mike), the top bearing is good.

I'll check back in when I see sparks!

After Iron Mike showed me the ad for the mag bearings, that clearly showed #6202 on the bearing, I looked at several other sources to verify. They all showed a #6202 bearing. So I got a #6202 bearing.

The bearing that came out and the new #6202 bearing are not the same size.

The additional height does not allow the installation of the snap ring.

We have a Fastenal business (nuts, bolts, bearings, industrial stuff, etc.) here in town. Will try to match up the bearing on Monday.

The bearing in the ad has a W9 suffix. Most of the 6202 show a standard 11mm width. Perhaps the old Brg is 9mm??

More likely 8mm.

I'm surprised they don't use an angular contact magneto bearing there. E15 ?

I do see the top picture shows a shielded bearing while the bottom is a rubber sealed bearing.
