If the vehicle is old enough it will require double blipping. Way back in the mid 60's Arnolds Bakery in Pawtucket Rhode Island had an ancient truck that always had to be double blipped.

It also had back doors that would not stay closed that I had to make runs to Hartford Connecticut in every few weeks. One of those trips was very interesting to say the least. Fires in the city, lots of folks on sidewalks, clubs and baseball bats. Somehow this naive kid got caught up in the Hartford riot. The broke ass back doors were a concern, but I never stopped rolling, even through red lights. A few folks tried to jump on the rear bumper but all that blipping got them off fairly quick.

Red face Usually sometimes...

Heh, I guess I sort of do it unconsciously so often that I've become
unaware of the practice. Harkens back to my old "sports car" days of
the early '60s, before the synchromesh transmissions. A smooth
downshift was music to the ears, without all that "G-g-g-grinding" going on.`

Let's see. I'll have to think about it...
A quick snap of the throttle as I pull in the clutch, then downshift,
and gently let out the clutch, and "Whuh-whuh-whuh..."

Yep, when you really get to know your bike I feel like you tell what she likes (it almost sucks up the dogs like a vacuum when I get it right on my metric, I can only imagine the Ironhrad will appreciate it even more) and it seems like rev matching always makes them happy.

Edit @wedge , I love your signature; makes the arthritis in my five broken bones feel like a badge of honor lol! (I was riding before I could walk, crutches bungeed to back, kicking over and back to shift up cause my cast wouldn't fit under the shifter)
