I used silicone grease on mine. It won't attack the rubber.

I followed the factory manual when installing new seals after head porting.
Apply a liberal amount of engine oil to valve stem before installing the valve.
Place a protective sleeve over the keeper groove and coat the sleeve with oil.
The sleeve is necessary to protect the new seal from being damaged by the
sharp edges of the keeper groove.

I would not! Grease can cause the seals to squeeze out of place.

I've changed quite a few manifold seals using red high temp grease. Never had a problem with them failing. Never.

Would you show that bit in FSM? Because there's no mention about greasing the intake seals in any of my factory manuals.
