Worst problem is the stock petcock location on older ironheads interferes with the RTI cable bracket forcing you to either change tanks or cut the bracket and not run an RTI cable.....which leads to the problem of the engine not reliably returning to idle...

Anyone know of an aftermarket bracket that allows you to use the stock tank?

Nobody wants to hear that...too simple....too true...some MUST have a villain and in my 50+ years on these things the LAST OEM carb before a change is the bad guy....
