Default wTB - XR1000 and XLCR parts - all

Just purchased my 5th XLCR. Sold the other 4. Not this one. Looking to build up a stock of parts just in case something is needed. I check Ebay daily. Recent HD Motor Co. Inc. retiree ( 30 + years ). Let me know if you have any XLCR or XR1000 parts for sale.

Also looking for a stock, clean XR1000.

Looking at turning back the clock as I had both back in the early '80's working at HD in Milwaukee.

New stuff does nothing for me............

Thanks.

Search eBay for the part numbers for the various parts, see what is being asked

Default 71 ironhead rear drum brake

Currently I have a 71 ironhead that has a rear disc brake assembly with front drum assembly on it. It looks weird to me. I would like to find drum assembly and bring it back to resembling stock.

Anyone have one or know of where I should search?

i can supply you with the drum and brake assembly, however for a bolt on scenerio you will need some other parts. rear wheel with drum hub, brake rod, working crossover shaft (cannot see if yours was modified for the disc), correct swingarm with axle and adj's, brake switch.
It may be simpler to trade someone who would like to convert to square arm with disc.

Take into consideration also that your rear sprocket on the drum will most likely be 51 teeth and that could change your final drive ratio and overall performance profile...
