I tried the frogg togs but they burnt quicker than I could buy another and eventually soaked me anyway.
The deluth ones look to be thinner than mine and that'd be a plus if you could find a top that seals with it.
Usually when I ride in rain, it's not just a mist or light rain.... maybe just my luck.
Lightning in front of you on the interstate and freakish hail storms can make you pucker up.
Add getting soaked to that and it just sucks.
I'm pretty much used to getting soaked. I got a boot dryer for Christmas. My wife wants me to get some good rain gear. Problem with me is, I like wearing as little as possible, so the lighter the better.

Reviews on wet weather riding suits lean toward the pricey Hi-Vis HD stuff being the best. I looked at some, seems well made.

Looking forward to your review on the Duluth.

I got 'em.

I ordered XL, 34" inseam. My waist measured OVER my normal belt and with 2 layers of long underwear measures 43".

The rain pants have no fly, just an elasticized waist (kinda like sweats) with a drawstring and they stay up without the drawstring cinched. The waist expands enough to get them on easily. I got the right size.

Sitting down they mimic my jeans. The rain pants' waist stays over my jeans waist. My cowboy cut wranglers are somewhat high waisted compared to Levis etc. The "cuffs" sit an inch above my 36" inseam jeans' cuffs.

There is a substantial flap over the leg zippers. There's a snap at the cuff and velcro sections securing the flap.

They weigh 16 oz. They feel more substantial than the usual plastic crap. The gray color I got is a very non-descript gray.

I like 'em. Won't know for sure how they work 'til I need 'em in the rain.
