Arlen Ness Big Sucker question
Good Evening,
I have a 2006 1200c with an Arlen Ness Big Sucker. What are my options for "adding" an external breather while keeping the Big Sucker? I saw a video where you drill and tap holes in the breather mounts (if that's the right term), add some brass hose fittings, route the rubber lines and plug the existing oil passage holes in the filter mounting plate. Is this the only option I have?
Here is a link to a pic of what I am talking about.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply!
You said this - My setup already included a carb bracket. I don't have that.
I have the Arlen Ness Big Sucker A/C which is different than yours in design. I want to see if there is a setup that works with what I currently have.
The link in my original post shows the Arlen Ness Big Sucker plate.

From your picture in Post#1... Because the Arlen Ness plate integrates the standoffs into the assembly, that pic shows holes drilled into the standoffs - then adapters installed to get to a hose fitting - then the hoses would Y-together the two standoffs - and the Y would have a down hose to some low point for final outlet of air.
The little raised areas (in the pic) that go from the standoff to the venturi are the existing pathways for the breather mist to get into the carb. I'm not sure if the shown mod closes off those channels?
There won't be off-the-self parts kits intended to modify the Big Sucker base plate...

I kind of thought that.... Bummer. I guess I'm drilling and tapping then.

Use the search at the bottom of the page. Type in... Big Sucker external breather. Then click the "POLL: Big sucker owners plz respond". Scroll down to dodgenbullets post of 9th August '06. Part numbers & instructions. I've used this exact set-up on both my '04 & '09 1200s. I currently have 111,000 miles on the '09 with this on there from new & have had no issues of any kind with it.
