What grease to use for starter needle bearing?
I'm putting together some starter motor/solenoid assemblies and have a question about lubricants.
What's the best kind of lube to use on the motor housing needle bearing (part number 9062)? Do I just use the same multi-use high temp bearing grease I use on my wheel bearings? Do I use assembly lube?
The FSM didn't seem to specify. I don't want to do any damage...

needle bearing grease
I prefer a light coat of assembly lube.Oil from the primary will slosh all over once your running lubricating starter needle bearings and also the counter shaft needle bearings.Hi temp grease is not necessary but a light coat of say tacky red will also work.

Much thanks for the recommendation. While I love old bikes I'm not by any measure a mechanic.
