Definitely not saying this is your issue. I was having a breakdown when hot. Couldn't figure it out. One day, for the heck of it, while it was acting up, I sprayed water on the 4 post coil. I could hear arching inside the coil. Swapped it out and has been fine since. :knockonwood:

Stock coil resistance rating
Just for the fun of it I looked up the resistance ratings on most all factory Harley coils and there many 3 ohm coils a few 1 ohm, 2ohm ect. I'm calling BS on the aftermarket 3ohm coil requirement. The factory 1200S coil is a 3ohm coil. Just sayin

Buster's
It's good to know there better alternative available aftermarket system available. There is a short in my "plug" underneath by the kickstand? Also that plastic "T" oil line firing underneath close to it is leaking and I was talking to a dude that had one break and dump every drop of oil out onto the driveway. My luck would have been it would of happened on the interstate and I would have never noticed it until I heard the not so sweet sound of rods ratting loose. OR in a hard left turn and the rear tire gets soaked full of 50w weight on hot summer day on a pea gravel road!! Ugggh! SON OF A B##$!!!
