The one I just took apart had a plastic pin pushed into the hole in the wheel to drive the tab on the speedo drive. I haven't looked into it further.

The Pie Slice Caliper?
I don't like flipping the rotor to the right side as the caliper mount is not designed to take pushing forces and may try to taco the mount.
ALL of HD's floating calipers rattle, ALL OF THEM rattle and wear out the mounts so they rattle more.

If you want to get rid of the rattle install a Ninja (or equivalent) Caliper, I am using Tokico calipers on my Hooligan bike.

I must be missing a spacer or cant get the protrusion on the drive to go into the hub?! Anyone?!
Are you sure it has been previously sheared off?

Its pie shaped Caliper and a shop owner told me to flip the rotor to the right and run the caliper behind the fork. The drive tab is not sheared and seems like it would have a pin that grabs the tab. also have some side to side play of 1/6-1/8" as well!
