Default No preload adjuster on my 09 xb12xt?

Hi guys, I have a bunch of questions on my new to me Buell. I have the 09 xb12xt that I bought last month with 11000 miles. I installed the comfort kit today and noticed i don't have a preload adjustment knob for the rear shock like it shows in the instructions. Is that normal for this model?

Wow that is some good info thank u! It's definitely supposed to have the adjustment knob but it definitely isn't there. It looks like the factory shock. So I'm at a loss haha
