Personally, I think the Andrews N4's are the best bolt-in cams for your generation of bike, with compression ratios ranging from 10:1 to 10.5:1.

With N4's, your corrected compression calculates out to 9:1 and the ccp is 191psi at sea level on a 64 degree day. That's assuming .030" head gaskets and zero deck height.
Your Calculator is pretty accurate I'd say. I got my mechanic to check the ccp and it was spot on as per the Calculator. 210 psi in both cylinders.

That was done Cold though. My questions are;

How much difference there is, usually, between Cold & Hot Tests?

Is it Ok 210 psi Cold?

- I did install the W cams.
- Stock 883 (2006) Heads.
- Basic 1275 kit.
- 42 Mik.

I hope my questions (and your answers) help others too.

Cheers.

I wonder what my set up would feel like with w cams too, I would guess just rev out real quick and nothing above 4k which is lame IMO. But that's kinda a guess..

I think the w cams feel like they fall off very early compaired to the n4’s , I didn’t really like them as much as I like the n4’s
That’s what I thought with my set up anyway. For me personaly with my set up I like the n4’s over the W , but again that’s just me . I’m sure someday in the future way down the road I’ll go with different pistons and more headwork but that will be at least a few years away . Now there’s always the Off chance that maybe I could be lucky enough to hit the lottery LOL and then I would send them an entire engine from the bottom up to get done but that’s probably not gonna happen anytime soon lol
