Default 1972 XLCH brake help

Hi All, I'm wanting to rebuild my front forks and brakes back to stock. At the moment I have a long floppy cable from the brake lever to the bottom of the fork leg which I know is wrong. The cable should run through a tube down the side of the fork leg. It's quite obvious how the tube is held at the bottom but my question is, what holds the top of the tube? Any help would be great. Thanks.

From the parts book (54-78, pages 92-93), I think this is it. See what others say.

Search https://www.ebay.co.uk for 2041-7 and you'll find multiple vendors. Searching 45218-52 yields more...
