Default mystery leak

My 83 iron head seems to be leaking from behind the front sprocket cover (I'm positive its not the sprocket or shaft). I think its from one of the bolt sleeves from the cover itself, any suggestions?

Have you actually removed the sprocket cover to see the leak?

There is an oil hole there that must not be blocked off by the gasket.

IMX the gasket is a common source of leaks. There is a specific technique for installing it given in the FSM.

The lower cover screw if a longer than needed screw is used and forced in it will push through into the transmission and leak. Lean bike over on right side to get the oil away from the area give it a squirt or three os carb cleaner and use silicone sealer or ThreeBond 1184 on the screw threads to seal it.
