Wowwwww... this thread got me....

I am a drinker, I do not drink (Zero) at work, but on my R&R I tend to get shitfaced...

I have totaled several cars in my younger years... never crashed on a bike, but I did dropped it a couple times when stopping... once I missed the stand with my foot and down we went...

Thinking very hard on quitting... just need to do it.

My wife is the opposite, she´s has/is a Fitness Professional and never drinks or smokes, she´s fit as f..k!

One time she videoed me while I was delirious on my f..ked up world full of whiskey and ... Oh man, how embarrassing that was!!!

I haven´t touched spirits for a long time now... but I do enjoy my beer!!!

Need to give it up altogether and I (we) am sure I will be happier.

A decision you can only make for yourself. Some of us have to reach a bottom first, some of us decide to put down the shovel.

When we are on the bike we may stop for two beers, that's it. Too much at stake. I hold a CDL.

Yep, still sober........... probably over 35 years since I had a drink of anything containing alcohol. Don't know the exact date I quit, but it was long ago, and I am not sorry I did.

Im a 52 year old man who like many has wasted decades ... I have 11 years clean and sober this time around...I now get to be there for my kids and my wife now in ways I could have never imagined before, hopefully stopping some bad learning passed down through generations in my family... the 12 steps have become like a framework in my life ... Ive done what I can to live with my past.. I can say Im sorry when I screw up and clean up my messes so they dont pile up and make my life or the lives of those around me unbearable .... I moved through the 12 steps into COA to figure out what really drives me and makes me so afraid and angry.... Im still a work in progress I have dark days even though the world around me is good and safe... I dont feel it sometimes but I may just about have it figured out by the time I die :-) I hope for those struggling that they can find someone they can trust to guide them in sobriety to the light... it gets better... I hope I never relapse again ....
Blessed Be

No regrets. Still married, still alive, enjoying life, family, even a grandson. I still see the damage it can do, a coworker, who lives literally 100 yards from my Saturday afternoon meeting, just got his 3rd DUI, a felony unless he can plead it down.
I don’t miss the problems, and enjoy remembering the good times I have these days. No more blackouts!
