Question Fuel SOV&line from XLCH tank to a Mikuni....

Not much space between the tank bottom and the 38-9 Mikuni on this bike. Actually the tank was off the bike when I got it, and a aux fuel tank was on it for testing.
So, with the OEM small tank mounted, not much room for a petcock and the fittings. Is this something that has been engineered here before to save me the design grief? I'm temped to add a bung. Also wonder how the gas gets over the hump, so I guess 2 lines and outlet bungs are needed. How did you guys do it?

The fuel crosses over at the rear of the tank...the bigger tanks(with taller tunnels) have the cross over fittings of the two piece tanks.

Well, ordered a valve from Sportys today, I need to start someplace and it sounds like it might work OK. Mikuni fuel inlet faces up, is on top, aft float bowl, valve outlet faces forward. Kind of odd but may actually give me more space to route a line without sharp bends.

My 1978 XLCH has an AM fuel tap (valve) with a 90 deg outlet facing backwards. Not a lot of clearance but it all fits into the available space
