Run a hose down. It should not ever puke gas unless you are full up to that point in the filler hole which you should never be! Possible sloshing but I have never had it happen in the very short time I have ridden this bike. My Kawasaki Vulcan has the same thing. Hose runs to under engine. As well I have never had it leak gas

Perfect, thanks! I'll open it up to vent the tank and route the overflow away just in case it's ever needed.

With a vented cap, you can either cap the vent tube or run a line away to the ground. Your choice.
