The drive unit on my 66 wore out. Had a persistent oil leak that bothered me so tracked it down to the drive unit itself. Initially thought it was the gasket there. But no, turns out if they wear enough inside the seal (these are not rebuild able) wears out and leaks.
Who woulda thunk ?
So I've replaced it with a new one. No more leak but how long before it seizes now (no oil getting past the seal as designed ?) and destroys my cases ?

Side note. I ave to stop wearing his bike out. If I'm going to leave it to the Museum when I die I need to keep it pristine.
