1983 Ironhead Sportster decisions to be made
About a year ago I picked up an 83 in need of some serious love. I disassembled bike. Engine has Andrews PB cams. Rods looked ok so I ringed the pistons and reassembled. Heads were also good. The frame is getting powder coated. It has aluminum mags that need to be refinished. The rear wheel even has black paint over spray from previous owner touching up frame. It's getting 3 new disc and 2 new sprockets. It's got that big tank. Being as how my fiscal budget for 21 was just released I either need to start a GoFundMe account or back off on this ambitious build slightly. What's a good way to get the wheels looking right?

It's all perspective. Call it a rat bike... Now they look fine.
Maybe one of these tricks? http://xlforum.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1936559

the auto parts stores have many varieties of aluminum wheel cleaners. some have a mild acid content. those are the ones i look for.
