hi im looking for the thickness off the rear galiper bracket on a 1983
i whant to compare to a 1996 bracket on this picture

well i found more rare original and NOS 1983 XR-1000 parts than anybody should have however the original rear brake carrier is boxed up and buried deeper than I have ability to dig in the pile today...
I will say that 0.568 is what I cut the late model sportster pin style carrier to when mounted the XR1200X rear caliper to my 1983... there was a bit more machining in the mill to get it to fit and a bit of machining for caliper clearance as well.. i documented it loosely in the build link in my sig...
