The standard front wheel off my 83 used to leak like a sieve, would have to add air every few days. Ended up scuffing up the inside of the rim and hitting it with a polyurethane primer. Problem solved. Maybe the Morris will leak, maybe it won't, only one way to find out but it won't hurt to sand and paint just in case. Seems quite a few bike brands had problems with porous wheels. All good when new but start to leak over time, all things ironhead are positively ancient now.
