Reimagine owning many over the years, not all at once but always a 1 or 2 at a time that bring different joy.

Think of children that fail to launch but easier to deal with.

Sound like it needs some low speed work/tuning, unless you plan on constantly revving the engine. Maybe its just the rider.
If that is what the drag pipes do, I will be shopping for mufflers too. Bad low speed manners are a pain. Here is mine at idle...

Haven't had the chance to "start" it so that may be another story. Kicking it thru there is a constant stream of oil from the vent. Need to drain the crankcase, work on the check ball and add oil prior to starting.

Fivecats - she's puurfect .

I know what you mean about the incessant revving, I imagine like you said it needs tuning and/or it's the rider.

I got an old set of pipes that will go on first thing.

I couldn't bring myself to throw $500+ for some new ones and I personally, and seeing all of the beautiful bikes around here I may be an outlier, think old shit looks better when it looks like old shit.

I was told the carb on it is new but the PO didn't know anything about it (he himself being a triumph guy and his buddy who did the top end being the harley guy). I'm pretty certain it's a new bendix from the photos so I think with stock pipes and following the guides around here it shouldn't be much of a mystery to get dialed in.

Should all come together looking nice with the slightly shopworn NOS tins, pipes, buckhorns and the seat
