I've about decided that I'll probably buy a rear fender from the Harley shop. When some yahoo on fleaBay wants $150.00 + $49.37 for shipping for a used and beat up piece and a new primered fender is $193.00 from the MoFoCo, it's smarter and cheaper to buy new.

However, that won't be for a while. I'm right on the ragged edge, financially, for the next couple of months. But it will happen.

What fender do you want? Stock like the one on your bike?

Yes. I ride in the rain and I really hate getting a skunk stripe down my back from bobbed rear fenders. For the record, it's part # 59847 - 10. One will turn up if I just keep my eyes open. But I think I should concentrate on getting the bike first. That'll happen in early February, if everything goes as I hope it will.

Sounds like you got a plan in place. Always exciting to get a new ride!

How about this one? I Looked up a rear fender on for a 2011 883 L on Ronnie's H-D, it says 59847-10. Looks like it has a couple of dents, but that's no big deal.

Joe, I'm seriously broke. I shouldn't have bought that tank last night. It's all going to come together; I just have to practice a little patience. I've got almost a year and a half to get it all sorted out. That's a very attractive price, and you're the body man; if you say it's not a big deal to fix the dents, then I believe you. Another fender will come along once I'm a little more solvent.

I understand the financials John, and I wasn't trying to temp you, I just wanted to know if that was the right one.
Those things are always on ebay, and we have a couple of big swap meets coming up after the first of the year, now I know what to look for, I have seen parts like that go for stupid cheap at swap meets, nobody around here needs Sportster parts.
