Back to the basic issue. It sounds like it's not water, so...

Gas getting in the oil turns the oil into a pasty tan looking sort of goop and sometimes it looks closer to off white. It was very common on VW's because the oil pump sits on top of the case and when the diaphragm leaks, gas runs straight down into the case, so I have seen a lot of it when I worked for VW.

That said, the other possibility is just condensation inside the primary. If the bike has been just sitting, the white goop may be localized from condensation and be nothing at all.

I would start by draining the oil and looking at what comes out. If there is water or gas in the oil, it will be obvious and it will separate in the drain pan. Water will usually run out before the oil does, and if you are reaching up to the drain plug it will run down your arm before you can get out of the way.
