Santee used to make some tapered mufflers but the baffle was a louvered core type. My next best guess is to take stock tapered mufflers and gut them and install Cycle Shack baffles (if you can find them). You will have to do some fab work though. The stockers have a perforated liner that sandwiches fiberglass between it an the muffler body. I tired gutted mufflers with just the perforated tube and fiberglass but didn't like the sound. It sounded more like a Ducati than a Sportster. But an S sounds different at idle anyway. Must be its ignition system.

I'm 70 this year, so it don't matter, but I have to keep fit.
I been on HD's since the 70's, so that's all I know.

the 1200 s a good model! twin brakes up front & cartridge forks, the duel plugs would make it sound different as they clean up the big open chamber, with the single plug & big open chamber can get some unburnt gas in pipes that fires again in pipes ( bit like old Shovels & Pan's.
I got a friend who has a good welder & is good at it, he has welded a lot of HD chambers & don't go near valve seats, I'm just going to weld a kidney shape chamber in get new stock size black diamond valves. use flat tops other than chamber and pistons & new valves it will be about stock. will put new followers a set of RS cams I have Axtell barrels. & have had a Bobby Wood CV carb long time I like it & looks stock my friend a master in the gear box. he will do that. stock clutch. I always leave clutch stock if it slips too much I'll put another plate and steel in. friend has surface grinder to set up a clutch pack.
also have some old Ohlins shocks that are rebuildable. will do full race tech in forks as like that set up.
I'll keep this bike forever.
but no HP or TQ target ( who cares ) u'll just look at trap speed at track, if I get a fast trap speed but a slow ET look at 60ft if thats slack thats me.
always takes time to get used to your set up.
but no way you will see a long swing arm or wheelie bars or air shift.
see what happens.
