I don't think it would help. I just went from a docile 883 to 93 HP, and I still can't outrun her, even on a long straight.

Did I just say that out loud?

I have the exact parts including home ported xb heads other than I built a homemade 2-1 exhaust. Wondering where you ended up with timing and the main jet? 93 h.p. is getting it especially at that rpm, my limiter is set at 6700 and it pulls solidly right to it lol.

Cool thanks, I set mine at 30, probably play with it at the track to see what gets me the most mph.

Is there another set of blocks below map 30? The 30map is close to whats in my 03 n4'd 1200 for WOT, and it really likes it. The 20map is close to my part throttle map.

Main jet ended up at 170
Pilot is 27.5
Y8 needle jet
97 needle with clip second groove from top

I always tune from the bottom up, meaning, I put a 180 in this bike to begin with while I set the idle and mid range. I started the process while this carb was on David's bike (similar setup with the same cams), and when it went on this bike it was good except for a small tweak on the mix screw. (3/4 turn by the way is where it ended up). I was going to ride it another week or so then get the main jet dialed in, but the trip to the dyno got that done right there. I always start with a huge main jet, because if you starve the mid range, then you can't get the needle right. The main jet doesn't matter until you get the mid range right. You can leave the main jet on your bench while you dial the bottom end of the carb.

I agree that mine would have pulled past the 93 mark, but I have the limit at 6200. Not sure if you read it, but I didn't want to pull the seat while we were there this time because the sissy bar is right on top of it and needs to be pulled to get the seat off.

Next time I will push it further and see where it really tops out.

We all have to hand it to Rico. He made a great map for my Roadster a long time back and that map is perfect for that bike. This map seems good, with just a lot of decal popping. (Could be tunable in the idle circuit, but I'm happy with it, so I'm not going to bother playing further with it.) Unless the plugs turn up something that I have not seen yet.
