We hope to be in California by the end of October. We are getting ready to put our house on the market. If it sells sooner we will be moving sooner, if it takes longer, well, we'll just have to wait till it does sell. The October goal was because I wasn't looking forward to traveling over the mountains in the winter months.


You can always take the southern route via I-10.

I think even with that route I'll have to deal with some nasty in the mountains of New Mexico. My buddy hit snow there last year on his way back to Cali in October.
