Default 2018 XLForum East Coast Meet & Greet - Decision Time on Location

Hi all,
It's time to make a decision on preferred location and preferred weekend. It has been narrowed to two choices:

July 13-15 at Ironhorse Motorcycle Lodge, Stechoah, NC (http://ironhorsenc.com)

OR

July 26-29 at Canaan Valley, Davis, WV (http://canaanvillage.com)

Vote for your preference....

Ironhorse is only available on that weekend, but I believe Canaan Village is more flexible if you wish to add comments. The date change at Canaan village is so that it coincides with Mountainfest on July26-29.

I’ll probably be good for either, but would still like to see and extended time which included a weekend opener and the following weekend closing, allowing more time and better chance of weather conditions for those traveling distances. IE: me making it to Canaan Village last year by way of Lake Havasu and Phoenix, Az. And Pecos, Tex.?

I voted Canaan Village Inn, only because I have a big family vacation next summer and some other financial obligations that are going to keep me pretty close to home.

I voted Canaan Valley - It's close enough for a Thursday down & Friday back ride - If we have better weather than last year I might actually make it...

Ok I am new but would like to go if I can. I have been to that area of NC twice in riding season once for a rally and once solo ride and both times it was pretty crowded. Heck a mob scene to me and wouldn't go back. I ride around areas of WV more often than NC and it usually is not jammed up and there are lot's of great rides. I actually lived in WV for a few yrs. So I voted for the WV site but I have no idea on the quality of accommodations, food sources, dealers, etc. around that area but it is considered a resort area in WV.
