I like it, if I needed a larger tank I would consider this. There should be a kit for this. And what are the plans for the stock speedo and tach? You are doing really nice work.

Thanks SonWon still needs some tweaks but its coming along I am thinking maybe try to patten the mounts I made for my setup and produce it as a split tank sportster modification. I plan to keep the stock speedo and tach in place but have not definitely decided on that just yet.

Super nice, I still think it needs to be a conversion kit!

What are the plans for the old tacho's?

I'm going to keep them where they are for now. I have not decided if i'm going run a speedo cable for the FL speedo or not.

My '98 XL1200C is my main long hauler but the 3.3 gal tank was too small for the type of riding I do. I considered installing a 4.5 gal tank that I have but felt if I was going to get rid of the gorgeous 'peanut tank' I may as well go big so I got the 6 gal flat sides. They're laughably wide (although the big ass seat now look less out of place) but it was the best thing I ever did for the bike. Now I have an almost 300 mile range and that alone and the peace of mind it provides makes my touring through remote areas on back roads so much more enjoyable.
