Default Crazy talk

My 2003 Sporty weighs 517 pounds. Rocketmangb's 2006 weighs in at 575. George is a couple of inches taller than I am and I think it's fair to say he's got 20 pounds on me. So it looks like we're talking between 75 and 80 pounds difference bikes and riders. Here's where it gets funny. He wants to race. My bike's specs are in my signature below. His important numbers are: Hammer sledge heads. 1.98x1.61 valves. Mikuni 45 (unless he sneaks the 48 on it), Hammer 600 cams and Patriot Defender pipes compared to my Vance and Hines. Two questions:
1) Is the weight difference enough to offset the power the Queen puts out?
If not (duh), how much of a head start should I get on a quarter mile? I've never dragged, so I think 2 seconds is a nice, round number. What say you all?

Nope, never did!
With the lighter weight bike and lighter rider, George may be asking you for a 1 second head start....let's see if that gets a rise outta him!!

From my experience it has as much, if not more, to do with riders ability than what the spec's are. And, me thinks, Rocketman knows that.
