John you were right. There was and extra vacuum line going to the petcock that I failed to hook up.

Great guide, I'm doing this soon.
Found an extra gasket that will fit, but maybe no difference or maybe creates new problem?
Any thoughts?

Hi all,

digging up an old topic, I know, sorry...

I have to replace my heads intake gaskets on my 2012 EFI Sportster.

I have almost no imperial tools but the normal wrenches, no socket nor tube spanner wrenches.

I'm looking for the size of the tube wrench needed to get the breather bolts out the heads, metric 13 or 14 don't work.

It's a 9/16" AF. You'll need a deep socket, ideally a six point one. The amount of engagement of the socket with the bolt is quite small, and with a twelve point socket it's likely that the socket will slip and damage (round off) the flats.

2017 XL883N 5500 KM, ... I think I found a leak in the intake manifold ... front cylinder side
Brake cleaner spray on idle makes it want to stop ... when hot

Any chance anyone has a video ?
Part numbers for the seals/gaskets that have to be replaced ?
What grease ?
Would you need to remove the tank ?
Will it be needed or maybe is better to remove the air filter assy?
Leave the injectors, remove the injectors?
Disconnect everything ? or leave it all plugged ?
Bolt/torxs sizes, torque ? untorqueable ?

I'll check the bike again and see if I can answer some of my own questions
