Personally I don't like the look of them, but if you do, then go for it.

A good friend of mine loves them; he always puts them on his Spοrtsters (three, so far) and Dуnas / Sοftails / Strеetglides (4, 5? Lost count).

Not a fan of them on their own. In the 80s they looked good on 4 cylinder Japanese bikes with a small handlebar fairing. Then again white trainers, stone washed jeans & permed hair was also popular!

Don't like them myself, I don't think they look well on a traditionally styled bike. Others can & will differ. I can't see them improving engine cooling. I thought they were meant to improve airflow on drag bikes.
