I’d agree.

If the engine ends up coming apart, just put it back together with better workmanship. I.e. I’d want another set of rods, this time clearancing them carefully and having a smooth blended finish.

It looks like the pistons are stock. The skirts were shortened to clear the flywheel and the spacers to allow stock compression height pistons. If that is true and you measure the spacers and extra gaskets, it should equal half of the increased stroke.

That could be done again with stock pistons, just a better job.

If anyone ever needs piston modifications of any kind, I.e. lightening, skirt modifications, dome or dish work,etc... Rebco Machine is the best in the business. Good turnaround and reasonable too

If you pull it apart and find you have 4.5 inch stroke Truett and Osborne flywheels please let me know how much you want for them. That is if you decide to return your engine back to stock. Which cams does your engine have? They may have to be replaced also when you go back stock.

I got to looking at the rods and I think the bad thing has happened.

The forked rod looks like the big end got hot.
