Winds of Change?? Ford Motor Co.fired 580 EV engineers. Their car sales lost 3.1 billion USD, last quarter. Ford was invested in Rivian and Rivian's stocks tanked. Ford lost 4.6billion and Amazon lost 7.8billion US. Rivian had over 180k buyers and have yet to deliver (since 2018) they also were building the EV Delivery Vans for Amazon and instead of a 100k EVs a year they MAY be able to produce 25K. Amazon's contract goes to 2040. Ford was planning on using Rivian's "skateboard" platform for their EVs.
So, are they realizing EVs are a pipe dream or is there something else they've realized?
