EMGO drag slips on find...

I picked up a used 07 1200C that has some EMGO drag slip-ons with baffles installed, it sounds great, but it always had this strange squeaking sound coming from somewhere down low. Loud enough where my wife following behind me in the car could hear it and she says it sounds really loud. So, I get to checking things over with it running and could definitely hear it around the slip-ons. I pulled the heat shields back a tad from the pipes thinking that was it, nope, not it. Ended up pulling the baffles out of the pipes to see if they were flexing or rubbing in the pipes. both of the baffles had no baffling remaining but the wire was still in there moving against the pipes! I did an old school hot rodders trick and wrapped the baffles with steel wool and held it in place with the wire and reinstalled. Squeak is gone and it still sounds great. Thought I would pass this along.
