I figured that I owed the internet an update just in case. Thanks so much for the feedback.

After all the suggestions, I decided to swap out all of my suspension components. I'm getting pretty handy at this now (ha!). I removed the newly installed 9" Roadster dampers and stock Nightster spring and preload spacer.

I went with the Trackerdie damper kit. They are 11.5" but come with a 2" spacer to reduce the effective damper size to 9.5". When you use their spacer you have to reduce your top preload spacer by 2" as well.

I dropped in a set of standard Progressive Suspension front springs and used the Trackerdie recommended Spectro 20wt fork oil. The thicker fork oil seems to work really well with the larger holes in the Trackerdie dampers. Based on Progressive recommending a 3" preload spacer, I ended up with a 1" PVC top preload spacer after reducing by 2" for the Trackerdie spacer.

All that gave me 2.5" longer forks than the stock Nightster forks. I put 1.5" over the triple trees for the clip-ons and then had 1" longer forks below the lower triple tree. Luckily, my brake line was still long enough after adding an inch.

In an effort to keep the frame rails level, I went ahead and put 12" Progressive 412 rear shocks on.

I took it out for a shakedown ride today and it is a huge difference. I'm guessing its all of the new suspension components working together, but it is way more comfortable than before.

Here is a sideshot of how it stands now. Its got a little bit of lean on the kickstand, but not enough to warrant a longer one.

Big shoutout to Trackerdie for the prompt and informative customer service responses!
