I tried finding the optimum position for the sensor wire but just couldn't get it stable.
Normally you run the sensor wit\re along the plug wire for a few inches. But it was getting overwhelmed with it doing that. Made it shorter and shorter which improved things and then got it down to basically a point, the wire being held prtpendiculer to the plug wire. Triued spacing it away from the wire by covering the plug wire with some PVC tubing. Just gave up.
Again, it makes no sense to have a tacho that accurate on a racing sidecar. I could never afford to expend that much attention on the tacho. Never really glanced at it on the track.
It was just on there to impress other people. Oh my God, it's got a tacho ! Must be a racing bike !
Even being deaf I know when to change gears. The vibrations give it all away.
