It looks and fits good, but after sitting on it for 10 mins I start wondering if there is any padding between the cover and the pan. Ive got the Saddleman Adventure on my VStrom, Im really thinking of hitting them up.

Hardcase 9.5" risers, these have been removed and replaced by Hardcase 7" risers that run 1-1/8" ProTaper bars. Hardcase sells a 7/8" Throttle Tube kit to use dirtbike grips and Harley controls.

This shows how the previous owner modified the V&H SS2R exhaust

Agreed! Between the lower risers and the lower bars I put on, the grip height dropped about 5"!
Right now they sit a couple inches lower than my shoulders when sitting and I only have to lean slightly forward when standing.

Upcoming plans:
-Better seat
-Saddle bags, something tidy like the LaRosas
-Highway pegs
-Better tires, aiming for Heidenau K60Scouts (I got 17,000 miles on my VStrom and they are very capable dirt and pavement tires)
-Larger tank (4-4.5gallons)
-Fork Brace

Couple pics with the new 3.8gallon tank. Im going to do a slight Frisco, for a couple reasons. 1) I like the look, 2) more tunnel space to run the wiring out of sight, 3) more air flow to the top of the heads and the coil & 4) now that the bars are at the right height, I think they still look too tall. Raising the tank will make the lines flow better

I also got the keyswitch relocated to a better location, the top motor mount.
I got the new Shift Arm and Alloy Art Shift Peg installed, still waiting for the factory Footpeg Mount to come in so I can replace the broken Burly MX Footpeg.

Word of caution on the Burly footpegs, the back inside corner needs to be ground down. If not, the sharp corner can punch a hole in the derby cover, then spilling oil. Mine didnt bunch a hole, but it was close and it did warp the Derby cover enough to cause a leaky seal.
