I like the way it looks and I like the idea of it, but, like every other bike in this class, I know it won't work for me ergonomically.

I'm getting used to it's appearance but don't think I will ever buy one. But that goes for every other 'fashionable' ADV bike. Fashionable because I think some people will buy this to 'Keep up with the Joneses' and eventually end up where they put normal road tires on it.

If I'm mainly on normal roads I would buy something else. If I wanted to do some serious off road riding on a trip, I would buy a much lighter and cheaper bike like a Yamaha Ténéré 700.

I think a Pan American is a Behemoth of a bike when it's tipt over in soft sand, dirt or mud...fully loaded.

IMHO these bike are always a compromise: To heavy for the dirt and not as comfortable and designed as a real touring bike.

I agree with NLXL

Weight is a huge consideration with me.

It's a nice bike and all, just not my kind.
