Default Front brake/fork lower upgrade

I am looking to install at least a 13" rotor and 4 piston radial caliper on my
96 sportster.

Am I able to simply swap out the fork lowers, axles and spacers for 2000+ unit? My bike has 13 spoke mags on it if that makes a difference.

Thank you in advance

Yes, and no..

I was able to install a 2008 lower set on my 1997, when I installed Dual Brembos, but also needed to change out the wheel for the 2008 as well.

You'll need a wheel from 2000+ as well. the wheel from a 1997 will not fit properly as the hubs are different

Why not just put a Wilwood caliper on the stock leg? I did that for my 1991 and can't see a need for more braking ability, it stops so much better than before.

Wilwood GP310 should be what you need. Buy a couple bolts and you're golden.

I think I paid $220 for mine, but that was a couple years ago.
