I'm self taught with a mig which means I can stick two pieces of metal together that won't come apart. That's about it though. I'd like to learn how to tig weld. Just gotta get around to buying one. Thanks for your tips.

Hey there and thanks for the reply. If you're on a budget, I purchased an EVERLAST just to see how a lower budget machine would compare to a MILLER or LINCOLN. I like this welder so much, it's now my go-to TIG machine. I've put this thing through the ringer, day in and day out, and it performs wonderfully. I bought this machine for under $1,300 shipped to my door and all I needed was argon, tungsten and filler.

For what it's worth, I've read that one individual went to far as to take the EVERLAST apart to see who manufactured the inverter. Turns out that it's the same inverter manufacturer that MILLER uses. I don't know if this is true as I haven't verified it myself. But everything you read on the internet is true, right.

Thanks again and keep practicing.

Cool, thanks for the video! I recently bought one of those AHP TIG machines on Amazon. I haven't had too much time to use it but I am excited to start learning to TIG.
