Oh yeah, the dreaded roo's!
Bounced one off my guzzi footpeg a few weeks back.Luckily the goose just shook its head and moved on. Thought at the time I had a broken foot but it just had lots of pretty purple and blue hues. When I had to straighten the peg with a length of pipe I realised how hard that roo was (hope it got at least a cracked rib for its trouble)
I often think we are lucky we don't have deer, bear and other big things, then I remembered
that I do have near misses with deer when up in the hills back of here trail riding.

Back in the day I was so close to pulling the trigger on a “Commando”, good to see the vintage stuff as a dinosaur I can appreciate them!

That commando had some interesting bits on it. Like the fibreglass tank and the home made gear shift lever. You can’t tell from the picture but it was pretty dirty, covered in dust. The guy who owned it said he rode it down that morning across some dirt roads. I recalled the time my friend let me ride his some 30 odd years ago, I still remember being very confused with the gear lever and brake pedal being opposite to what I was used to.

Wow! that was a very close one.
Did the adrenaline hit take your breath away? I remember some close ones I’ve had with Roos and emu, the strange thing is I was always slow down abit now when I ride past that section of road where I had the close call. But the chances of it happening again in the same spot must be very very low?

A few pictures coming in today. This one shows it was wheelie fun

I’m hoping someone got one of me changing up to second gear a little further down the track, it pulled a nice wheelie every time then aswell.
