Hey guys,

So Buchanan got back to me and they told me that the spokes won't work... It's about 130$ for a set of stainless steel spokes but I found a complete 21" wheel from a sportster custom for a good price so I'm going to go for it and sell the one from the softail. Thanks for all the answers!

Did they say why it won't work? Is it just that it can't be done with the standard sets of spokes that they have readily available?

Hey Folki, This is the as answer from Buchanan :

Hello Jaime,

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, the rim will work with the sportster hub but you will definitely need spokes. The estimated cost for stainless steel spokes w/nipples is $132.30 each (part # KHD902SS).

That makes sense. I think you were always going to need new spokes.
